Our Mission
At Kiki’s Hope for Animals, our mission is to protect, rescue, and care for vulnerable animals across the Balkans, where the concept of responsible pet ownership is still emerging and the cycle of abandonment and suffering remains widespread. We are committed to breaking this cycle through rescue, rehabilitation, education, and long‑term care, offering safety and dignity to every animal we meet.
We exist because countless dogs and cats have no other safety net. Many who come to us are not suitable for rehoming due to trauma, health issues, or lifelong needs—and we proudly give them a permanent home. This lifelong promise, while costly, is at the core of who we are.
Working alongside dedicated rescuers on the ground and supported by compassionate individuals across the UK and beyond, we strive to save lives despite the challenges: increasing abandonment, limited local infrastructure, rising costs, and restricted pathways for animals to travel to adoptive homes abroad.
Our mission is simple yet urgent:
to save lives, end suffering, and give every animal in our care a future worth living.
We are proud of the hundreds of animals already thriving in loving homes, and we remain determined to continue this vital work for the countless others who still rely on us for their survival.
