A little more about Nika...

Nika is a low‑energy Cane Corso girl who has spent far too long in kennels in the Balkans. She was rescued alongside another dog after they were both abandoned by their owner, and she has been waiting ever since for someone to give her the soft bed and gentle love she deserves. ❤️

Before she was rescued, Nika had an old injury to one of her eyes. It had already healed by the time she was found, and it has never caused her any discomfort or issues. It’s simply part of her story — and it doesn’t affect her happiness or quality of life at all.

Nika would suit an undemanding home with people who understand her breed and appreciate her calm, easygoing nature. She doesn’t need much exercise and is affectionately described by the kennel owner as very “cat‑like.” When she’s happy she adores fuss and affection, but when she’s had enough, she’ll give a little growl to let you know she needs a moment to herself. It’s simply her way of communicating her boundaries.

She is around 7–8 years old and a large girl at roughly 25 kg. She would be happiest in a quiet, peaceful home where she can relax without too much chaos. Because she can be grumpy with other dogs, she needs to be the only dog in the home, and she isn’t suited to living with cats, small animals, or young children.

As with all rescue dogs, she will need patience and understanding as she adjusts to a new life — learning house training, lead walking and daily routines. Most rescues adapt beautifully with gentle, consistent guidance, and Nika deserves that chance.

She is currently in the Balkans but is ready to pack her bags and hop on the happy bus to her forever home in the U.K.
