A little more about Kira...

This friendly beauty is searching for her forever sofa ✨✨

Kira’s start in life was something no living creature should ever endure. She and her litter were buried alive at a local dump site — not by accident, but for “fun.” When our rescuers arrived to feed the stray dogs in the area, they heard faint, muffled cries coming from beneath the earth. They dropped everything and began digging with their bare hands, desperate to reach the puppies in time.

Eleven tiny pups were pulled from the dirt that day… but only three survived long enough to grow into adulthood. It remains one of the most traumatic rescues our team in the Balkans has ever faced. Kira is one of those miraculous three.

Today, she is around two years old and a lovely medium size (about 15 kg). Despite her horrific beginning, she has grown into a friendly, gentle, playful girl. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, is good with cats, and has a calm, sweet nature that makes her incredibly easy to love. Our rescuer describes her as “young but calm, very gentle, and simply lovely” — the kind of dog any adopter would be so lucky to welcome into their home.

As with all rescue dogs, Kira will need patience, kindness and time as she learns the basics of living in a home — lead walking, house training and new routines. She is bright and eager to please, so she should pick things up quickly once she feels secure.

Kira has survived the very worst of humanity. Now she’s ready for the very best of it.She deserves warmth, love, and a family who will treasure her for the precious soul she is.
