A little more about Hamish...
Black dogs are so often overlooked, and we hope someone will give this lovely boy the chance he deserves while he is still young. He should not have to spend his puppyhood growing up in kennels when he could be enjoying life with a loving family.
He is good with other dogs and has previously lived alongside cats, so should be fine with feline companions when introductions are handled carefully and patiently. He is an incredibly sweet, friendly, and playful boy who is full of character and ready to bring joy to his future home.
We found him as a tiny puppy, abandoned at a rubbish dump in the Balkans. Without intervention, he would not have survived. Thankfully, he was rescued and given a second chance, and now all he needs is a family to call his own.
At just a year old , he is a medium-sized dog with a fun-loving and energetic nature. He is a bouncy youngster with long legs that he is still learning to coordinate, which only adds to his charm. He loves playing with other dogs and enjoys being around people.
Like all rescue dogs, he will need time, patience, and understanding as he adapts to home life and learns things such as lead walking and house training. With kind and consistent guidance, most rescue dogs settle in quickly and become wonderful companions.
He is currently in the Balkans but is ready to pack his bags and travel to his forever home in the UK.
He is neutered and microchipped and will have all necessary vaccinations and health tests, including Brucella testing, completed before travel.
A full rescue backup for life is provided.
