A little more about Cholet...

Cholet has been through so much in her short life. When she was spayed, the vet discovered her uterus was extremely thin and worn — a heartbreaking sign that she had been used for many litters.

She was found dumped like rubbish with her six tiny puppies, only three weeks old. Despite being starving herself, she stayed devoted to her babies, fiercely protecting them and doing everything she could to keep them alive. It took her some time to learn to trust our wonderful rescuer in Serbia, but once she did, her true personality began to shine: she is now the sweetest, most gentle girl.

Named after Madame Cholet from The Wombles — a devoted caregiver — she certainly lives up to the name.

Cholet is soft-natured and loving, but she will need a little time and patience to build trust with new people. Once she feels safe, she blossoms into an affectionate, gentle companion.

She loves playing with toys, snuggling into cosy beds, and burying herself in soft blankets. A warm, comfortable home where she can relax and feel secure would mean the world to her.

Cholet is wonderful with other dogs, but she could also happily be an only dog as long as she receives plenty of love and attention from her humans. Her gentle disposition also means she gets along beautifully with cats and other small animals.

Cholet is a truly beautiful soul who would make a devoted, loving family dog or a gentle, loyal companion. She has so much love to give — she just needs someone kind to finally give her the life she deserves.
